Terms of use

Last updated September 23, 2026

1. Who makes Kiwi

Kiwi Focus is made by Dylan Halder ("we", "us"). In these terms, "Kiwi" means the desktop app, the Chrome extension and their updates.

2. Your license

When you buy Kiwi, you get a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use it on computers you own or control. You're buying a license to use Kiwi, not the software itself: Kiwi, including its code, artwork and the Kiwi character, stays ours.

You may not, except where the law allows it regardless of these terms:

After you buy, you get a licence key on the confirmation page and by email. Kiwi needs it to run. Keep it to yourself: it's tied to your purchase.

Kiwi includes third-party open-source components. Their own licenses, listed in the THIRD-PARTY-NOTICES file installed with the app, apply to them.

3. Price and payment

Kiwi costs a one-time price, shown on this website before you buy, including any VAT that applies. There's no subscription. You buy Kiwi from us; payments are processed by Stripe, which also emails you the receipt. We never see your card details.

4. Refunds

If Kiwi doesn't work for you, email us (see Contact below) within 14 days of buying it and you'll get your money back, no questions asked. This doesn't limit any right to a refund you have under the law where you live.

5. Updates

Your purchase includes updates. Kiwi downloads them automatically and installs them when you next quit it. Updates may add, change or remove features. We aim to keep Kiwi working on supported versions of Windows and Chrome, but can't promise to support every version forever.

6. What Kiwi is, and isn't

Kiwi is a tool to help you focus. It blocks the apps and websites you choose while Focus is on, but it's meant as a commitment you make to yourself, not a security product: it isn't designed to stop a determined person, or to supervise children or employees, and it can't block everything (for example some full-screen games, or apps running as administrator).

7. Optional services

If you connect Google Calendar, or add your own Anthropic API key for Claude, you also use those services under their own terms. With Claude, any usage charges are between you and Anthropic. What Kiwi shares with these services is described in our privacy policy.

8. Warranty

We work hard to make Kiwi reliable, but it's provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we don't give any warranty beyond what these terms say, including that Kiwi will be error-free or always available. If you're a consumer, you keep all the rights the law gives you, and nothing in these terms takes them away.

9. Liability

To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost data, lost work or lost profits, and our total liability to you is limited to the price you paid for Kiwi. Nothing here limits liability that can't be limited by law, such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

10. Ending your license

You can stop using Kiwi at any time by uninstalling it. If you seriously break these terms, for example by redistributing Kiwi, your license ends and you must stop using it.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms, for example when Kiwi gains new features. The date at the top shows when they last changed. Changes don't take away rights you already have for a purchase you've made.
